~ Review of Alluring Ties: 2.5 Bayou Stix Review Tour ~

*Review of Alluring Ties by Skye Turner*

Title: Alluring Ties  Author: Skye Turner

Publish date: March 5, 2014 (AVAILABLE NOW)

Alluring Ties is a companion novella to the Bayou Stix series. It’s Book 2.5 Bayou Stix. In Alluring Turmoil, we were introduced to Lexi Sloane’s two best friends, Bradi and Erik. Alluring Ties will take you on a journey into their pasts and bring you to their present.

Bradi St. James is a force to be reckoned with. She’s strong, independent, and has something to prove. All of her life, she’s watched the world around her and is determined to have a different fate from what she’s grown up with. The path you’ve always believed to be the right path, may not be your destiny after all.

Erik Jenson is a kind man. A nurturer and the kind of friend everyone wants to have. Growing up surrounded by friends and family who support him, he’s a confident man. The choices he must make and the chances he must take as he lives and grows make him the strong, loving man he becomes.

Alluring Ties contains explicit sex, including some male/male, strong language and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18 or anyone who does not like M/M romance.

Review by : Tonya Allen

This is a novella for the Bayou Stix Series. You do need to read the first two books first. With that being said, I FREAKING LOVED IT!

We get the back-story for Bradi and how she meets Lexi and Erik, and how she fell in love with the amazing Micah. We also see how sweet Erik was in college.

I was hooked by the first line. Could not put this book down. You know from their very first meeting, that Bradi would become a best friend for both Lexi and Erik. I was laughing so hard during their first meeting.

Erik introduces the girls to his roommate, Micah. We get to see the start of Bradi and Micah, and all the fireworks, both good and bad. Bradi does something stupid, very stupid. She finally seeks Micah out to explain, and what he says to her has to be my favorite quote from this book.

"Follow my dreams? YOU ARE MY DREAMS! My future, the only future I can exist in, has you in it!" Total swoon moment over Micah for me.

We get to experience Erik's first love, and heartbreak.

I said it in my review of Alluring Turmoil, and I'll say it again. Erik is the gay best friend that every girl wants and needs in their life. This book needs at least 7 stars! Even for being a novella, you get so much back-story with the characters, that you normally don't find in other novellas. Skye has killed it with this story.
