Amazing book. If it's been awhile since you have read Becoming - Lynnie Russell part 1, I recommend you re-read it first. With that said, I could not put this book down! RM kept me on my toes for the entire read. Lynnie is still coming to terms with what she is now. She knows she is Cu Sidhe. Nanny is her voice of reason, helping her understand.
"You are not a monster, Lynn. You are a creature put on this Earth to keep balance." "You are not the beast. The beast is you."
Lynnie does come to terms with the beast.
"I am Vengeance. I am Justice. I am Death. I am Cu Sidhe. I am the beast and the beast is me."
We also get to meet a new character named Puck. I am on the fence about him though. He says he wants to help Lynnie. But what's in it for him? Is he telling her the truth? With RM, you never know which way she will take this. I love how her stories aren't predictable and keep you guessing and second guessing yourself. And right when you think you have figured something out, BOOM, it's not what you expected at all! Can't wait for the third book now!
