This is the ninth book in the KPD SWAT 2.0 series. They are stand alones. But the entire series (and the original series) are great and you will definitely be missing out if you don't read them all!

Sammy Spurlock is second generation SWAT. He is Miller and Mercy's son.

Hastings is a new character, we have met her in previous books in this series, but we haven't gotten to know her until now. She does have Tourette's. And it usually isn't a big deal, but it was in their first meeting, she's says "pew pew pew" to a guy holding up the pharmacy.

My heart did break for Hastings. Lani had me crying for her. I don't want to say more than that because I would hate to give anything away. When you read this, you'll cry at the same spot too. I may have said "why do you do this to me Lani?"

Sammy is such a great guy, Hastings is great also.

I am so happy that a certain prick got what was coming to him though! I was excited with that first punch thrown!

"I was normal two arrests ago."

"Drunk me has made a lot of friends that sober me has no idea who they are."

This is such a cute read. It is a slowburn, fight your feelings until you just can't deny them anymore. To the point you have to act on them, or loose everything that you never thought you would want.

Deacon is the stud next door. He is the anti-boyfriend. But there is so much more to him than that. He's awesome. He's caring, funny, a great friend...

Carys is a great mom to Sunny. But she kind of lost herself in the mom roll. Especially after loosing her career. Let's face it, I think every mom has lost herself a bit once they had their first child.

She does find herself again, with the help of Deacon.

I loved how this was a slowburn. Yes, they were attracted to each other, but neither acted on it. They actually got to know each other and build a very strong friendship first.

Before I get into this review, I just have to say I KNEW IT!! I knew who was behind Buzz Wheel! I guessed right! And no, I won't tell you who it was. But I'm loving that there is going to be a spinoff series!

This is Sedona's book. She's the last of the Bailey's to get her happily ever after. We learn why she left Jameson. I 100% agree with her and would have done the same thing.

Now he's back, and he wants her and Palmer in his life again, and forever. He has to work for it though.

I love what Sedona did to help Austin and Holly out.

This is a great read.
