This is Beau’s story.

Beau is a hacker with the FBI.  It was either join them, or sit in prison for a very long time for cyber-crimes he started committing when he was thirteen. 

Now he’s been tracking another hacker, Raven, but her real name is Marina.

Marina, or Raven, needs help.  Her parents have been taken and there is a major hit out on her.  She has a lot of secrets that she hacked from different countries. 

She tells Beau she’s ready to turn herself in.  But she’s not.  She just wants/needs his help and that’s how she can get him to her.

This is a situation that may kill them both.

I really liked this book, but did find the end a little predictable.

This is the second book in the Slayers MC series.  You do need to read this series in order.  This picks up right where the previous book ends.  It’s told by Angel, Dawson, Chase and Cat.

Cat is being held by the Slayers as reassurance.  They need to work things out with the cartel.  Cat is the daughter of the cartel leader.  Chase stays with her to watch over her.

But things aren’t exactly how they seem.  Especially when her cousin, Mateo, comes into the picture.  But are they telling the truth?

Only one way to find out…read the book.

Angel and Dawson’s story also continues in this book. 

This is a good read and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This is the first book in the Slayers MC series.  It was a quick read for me.  I loved it.

I really love Molly, or Angel, as she was called by Dawson and the rest of the club.  She’s struggling to take care of her mom and Sasha.  She was even going to strip to get the money to pay the hospital.  She just couldn’t do it and felt bad about not being able to. 

And that’s when she meets Dawson.

Dawson is the president of the Slayers.  There’s just something about Angel.  He has to help her.  Of course she fights him on most of it though.  She doesn’t want hand outs and she can take care of her own problems. 

“You want me to be honest?  Then I’ll be fucking honest.  You got something that makes me question the very basic shit I never had reason to question before, Angel.  You asked why I call you that?  Why I call you Angel?  ‘Cause you’re nothing like me.  You’re good.  You’re decent.  You’re everything I should want but never have, and fuck me for being selfish and breaking the rules of things, but damn it, I want you.  And I’m gonna have you.”

Now this does end in a cliff hanger, but I like them so it doesn’t bother me.

This is the first book that I’ve read by Tara Oakes.  I’ve had her MC series on my TBR list for a while.  I just haven’t had a chance to read them yet.  They will definitely be moving up to the top of my list now.

This is the first book in the Badge Boys series.  I will keep reading this series.  This is a great start.

This is a second chance love story.

Jess Leary and Agent Chris Gibson dated while she helped him on a case.  She pretended to be a stripper.

It’s been months since they broke up.  And now she needs his help.  The undercover work she did is causing her dad, a Senator, to be blackmailed.  There are pictures of her being a stripper.

Their feelings are still there and just as strong.  But she is dating someone else now.

She will help Chris solve this case though.

But they can’t fight their feelings.

“Because without you, it doesn’t matter if I have my job, if I have anything.  It means nothing if you’re not there to come home to.”

I did have an idea who was behind everything, and I was right.  This is still a great read though.

I’m ready for the next one.
