The night Troy and I run into each other, and all of our pent-up frustration comes barreling out.

Still, I refuse to accept that it means anything.

There’s no way the guy I’m supposed to hate is also the one I can’t live without.

This is another fantastic stand alone by Penelope Ward.

This is a second chance, hate to love story.

In highschool, Aspyn absolutely hated Troy. I did like how she got back at him with the donuts. That had me laughing.

But when they run into each other over a decade later, have things changed?

Troy was a jerk back then, he openly admits it. But has he truly changed? Can he change?

Both characters had some learning and growing to do.

I was worried while Troy was figuring things out.

And Kiki was awesome!

This is a great read!

This is the 20th book in the Cerberus MC series. They are stand alones.

This is Grinch and Grace's story.

They were together 12 years ago. Until Grinch proposed and Grace walked away.

Now Grace does have ties to Kincaid from when she was a little girl. That's why Cerberus is on it when she was kidnapped and sold. Twice.

Now I liked the story and the characters, but the game they both were playing annoyed me some. I would expect it more from characters younger, not in their thirties.

But I did still enjoy reading this.

And it looks like Harley is next.

I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I'm not writing; I'm reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.

#1:

“I had nowhere to go, Nate,” she says, sticking her bottom lip out. “But I knew my friend Nate would be more than happy to help me out of my bind. You weren’t here so I came on in. I waved to Shaye as I walked through the front door so it’s not like I was being sneaky.”

Like that makes it okay.

“What would you have done if someone else would’ve walked in here and saw you naked?” I ask, quirking a brow.

She laughs. “Nate, no one else has the balls to walk into your office but you.”

“And you, apparently.”

“Well, and me.” She grins and picks up the curling iron. “I’m glad you’re here. I kind of need a favor.”

I recline against the couch and prepare myself.

“Now’s a little late to be asking for favors, don’t ya think?” I ask.

#2:

“Do you want me to pay rent or help with groceries? We really didn’t go over any of that,” she says, licking her lips.

My gaze settles on her finger approaching the pudding container again. “You’re a college student with a part-time job. You don’t have any money.”

“That’s true.” She smiles smugly before lifting her eyes to mine. “I’m sure we could come up with something.”

She trails her finger around the walls of the plastic before bringing it to her lips again. With her hand poised in front of her face, she smiles at me.

Nope. Not letting that happen.

I clamp her wrist with my hand and suspend it in midair. Her eyes go wide, her breath halting in her throat as she waits for my reaction.

Her skin is warm in my palm. Her wrist is so small, so delicate, that I ease my grip so I don’t accidentally hurt her.

I’m not sure why I touched her, but it’s either because I’m sleep-deprived and it’s late or I want to teach her a lesson. Or maybe I just want to see her reaction.

I stare at her as deeply as I can. She holds her breath as she considers—hopes? fears?—what I’m going to do.

I twist her wrist and bring her hand to my face. A smirk settles on my lips as her entire body stills.

Then with the most deliberate move I’ve ever made, I bring her finger to my mouth.

My heart thunders in my chest as my self-restraint shatters into a million pieces.

I suck her finger between my lips. She gasps, her body shaking in response. I run my tongue around the pudding before biting lightly against her skin as I remove her digit from my mouth.

Every muscle in my body tightens. My blood heats to a dangerous degree. My hand trembles as I hold her hand in mine and try desperately not to tug her whole body into me.

Her chest heaves. She forces a swallow as she leans back against the counter. Her breath is loud and quick, breaking the silence of the room.

“Shit,” she says, a mixture of a plea and a promise.

I just look at her and smile. “Is that what you wanted?”

She swallows again.

I release her wrist from my palm. Then I lean in until we’re only inches apart—until I’m so close that I can smell the sweetness of her breath—and grin.

“That’s the only time my mouth will get anywhere near you.” I turn toward the doorway, ignoring the protest of every cell in my body. “I’ll see you in the morning.”

#3:

“Now it’s my turn,” she says, the strength in her voice slipping.

“For what?”

“You have two choices.”

“Between …?”

She licks her lips. “Choice one is that we can stand here all night and address this situation.”

“Or?”

A slow, so-fucking-slow grin slips across her kissable lips. My whole body comes alive, pushing, pulling, all-out boiling for this woman.

God, help me.

“Or you can get over here and undress me instead.”

This was a good read. I'm glad that we got a story about Paige.

Paige was Harlee, HOllis' little sister. The one he spent forever looking for and thought was dead.

She has her issues from her past and self sabotages.

Nate is her boss and friend.

The sexual tension between them is off the charts. Who will break first once she moves in?

Next it looks like we get all of her brothers!

This is the 18th book in the Ravage MC, ninth in the Bound series. It is a stand alone, but the previous book does set this up. Just like this epilogue sets up the next.

Now Dryerson is a prospect. He isn't a member of Ravage yet. He is Micah's best friend and is in love with Katie.

Katie is Ensly's older sister. They escaped together from their cult. She has so much guilt and trauma from her time being held captive. Ravage took care of those men in Micah's book.

I love both characters.

Now there was a huge twist. My mind was saying it was what it was, but I was trying to deny it.

This is a great read!

This is the second book in the open road series. It is a spin off from the Men of Inked: Heatwave series. But they are stand alones.

This is Leo and Lia's story.

If you want more back story about how Leo became a prospect, the building and how Lia came into the picture, I suggest reading the previous book.

I really like Lia and Leo.

There is a lot that happens. I thought the MC would be harder on Tim.

But I like how everything worked out in the end.

This is a good read.

I think this is the best one yet!

This is Finn's story.

This is a slow burn, single mom story.

Kendall hasn't had the easiest life. When one thing goes wrong, everything does. She does her best with the cards she's dealt. She's an awesome mom.

I love how thing were between Finn and Kendall.

And Puff and Evie will have you laughing. I want an update on them!

And that ending to set up the next book...WTF!!

OMG! OMFG! I don't even have the words to describe how I'm feeling right now.

I'm broken. I mean, Rachel did put me back together again, but I was broken for about 95% of this book.

I was terrified and screaming "NOOO" through out the middle of this story.

I may have cried in relief at the end.

Actually, I cried a few times while reading this.

And Chase mentioning Bagels to a confused King was awesome!

"Until the end. Until the end. Until it ends. Amen."

"If you learn nothing else, know that family is everything, blood is everything, no matter what happens."

This will be a top read of mine for this year.
