**RELEASE BLITZ WITH REVIEW** Apollo by Marie James

 Release Date: September 9

The first time we met, I was rescuing her from a cult.
The second time I laid eyes on her was when she showed up at Cerberus with a secret, asking me for an unthinkable favor.
What she was offering was something I never thought I could have, so I readily agreed.
I wanted more than just her secret though.
How can I convince my wife to fall in love with me when someone else is threatening to take it all away?

4 Stars

This is the 18th book in the Cerberus MC series.  They are complete stand alones, but I have loved this series.

April is Cara's younger sister.  They don't really have much of a relationship due to the cult that they were raised in.  When it was time for April to marry the cult leader, Legend and Apollo were sent to get her out of there.

Now, she's been kicked out of her grandparents house and finds herself at the doors to Cerberus, looking for Apollo, not Cara.

She's been so brainwashed by the cult.

She needs a huge favor from Apollo.  He jumps on it.  He will help her out no matter what she asks.

This goes from a quickie marriage to help April, to them falling in love.  All during that time, Apollo is trying to help her by breaking the brainwashing.

I only gave this a 4 star because I would have liked more at the end.  I felt like we were left hanging.  Was there another court date?  What happened with all of that?
Meet Marie James

Let's see...where to begin...

I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I'm not writing; I'm reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.

**RELEASE BLITZ WITH REVIEW** Jerk It by Lani Lynn Vale

Jerk It

Madd Crossfit Series 2

September 7, 2021

About the Book

Mavis always assumed that she would be in a hospital with the good drugs when her time came. Not in the middle of the road, with no one around but the damn town mechanic that hated her.

But there she was, having a rock star’s baby, with no one to rely on but the one that let it be known around every turn that she was a horrible person.

From the time that she met Murphy and became best friends with him at the age of eight, she knew he was destined for greatness.

But then her grandmother fired Murphy’s mom, forcing them to live on the streets, and making Murphy to realize that maybe they weren’t best friends after all.

Murphy loved Mavis.

At least, he had when he was younger, before she betrayed him.

From that moment forward, Murphy goes out of his way to stay the hell away from her, and always makes sure to never get too close. Even though everything inside of him screams to make contact.

When he moves back to town after being gone for five years, he tries his best to stay away.

But there she is at his CrossFit gym. Then having a baby on the side of the road. Oh, and breaking him a little more with each step she takes away.

Eventually, they find their way back to each other. The only problem is, by the time that Mavis makes her way back into his heart, it breaks. And not in a rhetorical way. In the ‘he only has days to live’ kind of way.

Tonya's Review
5 Stars

This is the second book in the Madd Crossfit series.  It is a stand alone.

**WARNING**
Make sure that you have at least one full box of tissues.  You will be ugly crying!  I can guarantee that.

I honestly don't know what to say for this review because I don't want to give anything away.  We have a few surprises.

Mavis is such an amazing character.  So is Murphy.

My heart broke so many times while reading this.

I know it's not in the plans, but after this book, Madden really needs some happy.

Oh Lani, I don't like you for making me cry so much.  Still love you, but I don't like ya right now!

**REVIEW TOUR** The Aristocrat by Penelope Ward

Title: The Aristocrat
Author: Penelope Ward
Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 30, 2021

BLURB

From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.

The one that got away. Every girl has one, right?
Mine was a charming, British aristocrat who turned my world upside down one summer.
From the moment I first spotted Leo in the distance through my binoculars, I’d been captivated. I certainly never expected to find a man showering outside of the property across the bay in his birthday suit.
Then I noticed his housemate staring back at me with binoculars of his own—watching me watching Leo.
That made for an interesting conversation starter when I inevitably ran into them.
Turned out, the handsome Brits were only renting that house for the summer in my seaside town.
Leo and I formed an instant connection, even though we were technically opposites by all appearances. I taught him how to dig for clams, and he taught me that not all wealthy and powerful guys are pretentious.
Despite knowing he was totally wrong for me, I couldn’t seem to stay away.
It was a wild and crazy few months. And before I knew it, we’d fallen in love.
We both had one wish: more time together.
But Leo had obligations back home. He lived a life I’d never fit into. And I was going to law school. So, we decided to end it and never look back.
A part of me always felt like I’d let my soulmate walk away.
I believed our story was over.
Until five years later when he sent me a letter that shook me to my core.
I’d thought my world was turned upside down that first summer?
Well, I knew nothing yet.

Tonya's Review
4 Stars

This is yet another good stand alone by Penelope Ward.
I loved the first "meeting" between Felicity, Leo, and Sig.  Who would think that "bird-watching" could be so life changing.
I loved Felicity and Leo together.  I do wish Leo would  have said screw his family obligations.  But I understand why he  couldn't, and wouldn't.  He had a lot of responsibilities placed on him.
Sig's jokes and humor were awesome.  I did love all the characters.
Now this story is in two parts.  I won't talk about the second part because I absolutely don't want to give anything away.
But my question is..
Does Sig get a book?

Tonya's Review

This is a good second chance stand alone. I enjoyed reading it. The "truth" was pretty easy to figure out, but that didn't distract from the story.
I really liked both Zac and Clara.
I did feel like Clara forgave Trina too easily though.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Everything’s sweeter in the South has always been her mantra and she lives by it, whether it’s with her writing or in her everyday life. Maybe that’s why she’s seriously addicted to chocolate.

Dover has written countless novels in several different genres, including a children’s book with her daughter. Her favorite to write is romantic suspense, but she’s also found a passion in romantic comedy. She loves to make people laugh which is why you’ll never see her without a smile on her face.
