walk up to field, thinking nothing can get better than this. My life has been
all about sports, women and my family. I'm the MVP of my life. I'm unstoppable,
nothing can break me.
Until one day, she walked up to field to watch
me play. In softball, there isn't a lot that can trip me up. But this girl, did
just that. She is my equal on and off the field. I'm no longer the MVP of my
game. She stole it from me.
Now, when I walk up to the plate. I have two
options, swing for the fences or strike out looking.
The love for the game combined with the love for
her could leave me broken.
Deep breath in, I walked over to Miranda. She continued to
stare off into the group of dancers. I touched her shoulder. Her blue eyes
shined up at me. I asked her, “Miranda, will you dance with me?”
I waited patiently for her answer, nervous as hell, she is
going to say no? Miranda nodded her head yes.
I grabbed her hand and led her to the dance her; then
pulling her close to me. She wrapped her arms around me pulling me closer to
her; feeling her body move as she inhaled in.
The music consumed me; this song is exactly how I feel about
Miranda. Holding her tight, I sang, “I
have been searching for someone like you. I know I have my faults but with you
my faults are forgotten. Now that I have you in my arms, I am never letting go.
Tonight, it is about you and me, and I am never letting this moment go. You are
the one I love, the one I need. Tonight, it is about you and me, I am not
allowing you to let me go. You are mine, tonight.”
Miranda sighed and squeezed me tight. I knew she was feeling
the exact same thing as me.
The day I met her, I knew she was something
different. Didn’t realize she was that some kind of different that was going to
change my life. I have never and I mean never felt this way about anybody in my
life. I have dated numerous girls; been serious about a few but nothing like
this. She is all I want. She is what I need.
Miranda McDaniels is the only woman for me. I need her to
realize that.
