There are a few book's where when you finish it, you need to know what happens next. We're left with a need, hoping the author will fulfill it... That was me in the end of Let it be Me, and I couldn't be more happier that Barbara gave us what we needed. Arianna and Canyon needed more to their story, and we get it and then some.

"It’s crazy when your heart and your head are waging a war against each other. Who wins in the end?"- Arianna

There are a few hurdles thrown in Ari and Canyon's way... A few that I would have said 'screw you, I'm done', but Ari is bigger than me in that way, I guess. I don't want to give anything away, so this review will be short and sweet, and to the point.

I absolutely enjoy seeing author's grow with their work, and you can see it in this book. Barbara gives us the story we needed and then some. Canyon and Arianna are by far not the perfect couple, they grow with each other and flourish because of one another. Their obstacle is one that gives them the push they need. With every great love, there is always a fight to stay and they have one. Their love is story worthy. Mrs. Speak gives us an amazing story tide with a big burlap bow. I'm sad that Ari and Canyon's story is over, but happy we got to enter their world.

"I'm not letting you go again, Ari. Run all you want, but I will follow you this time."- Canyon

You do need to read Let it be me before reading this book.  This is the conclusion to Canyon and Ari’s story.  Both books are great reads.

This book starts off with a surprise and there are a few more throughout the book.  This review will be vague, because I would hate to give anything away.

The first surprise could really cause problems between Ari and Canyon.  They love each other, there’s no doubt about that, but this will cause some issues.  Ari’s age does show some.  She is only eighteen, but she is grown.

I’m not going to say who says this, but I loved it.

“when you have something special, cherish it like you could lose it tomorrow.  You never know if you will get another day so live like you won’t.”

I love Canyon and Ari.  Shelby is one of my favorite kids in a book.  She is an awesome little girl, and she speaks her mind.  She actually reminds me of my daughter, maybe that’s why I like her so much lol.

I have so much more to say but it would give things away, so I’ll keep my lips sealed.  I did have an idea with the first surprise.  I was right, but it didn’t make the book predictable.  There was more to it than I originally though.

His eyes never left mine as he was being pulled away, and I knew the future was ours as a family. Nothing could take that away from me again. I watched his mouth as he silently spoke, "I love you." He was pulled out of sight before I could respond, but we had the rest of our lives for me to say those words. And I planned on saying them as often as possible.

Author Barbara Speak loves nothing more than being allowed to share her ideas and thoughts through books that so many enjoy. When she's not writing she's caring for her son and daughter along side her amazing husband in rural Missouri. She has 5 more babies but these are covered in fur. Bode the boxer, Tucker the beagle and Lily, Callie and Connor her kitties.
