This is the second book in the Savage Angels MC. It's a good read. I do like the characters and the twists in
this book. You do need to read Savage
Stalker first to get a background on the characters, even though the main
characters are different in this one.
This book doesn't center around a member of the MC, it is about Dane's
estranged sister and A Mafia Captain named Salvatore, or Sal. The MC does play a huge role in the book, and
so does Dane though.
Emily has been taking care of her drunk father since he was diagnosed
with cancer. When he dies, she decides
she needs to make Dane hurt, like he hurt her by leaving all those years ago
and not taking her with him. So she gets
in her car and tries to make the 4 day drive without sleeping at all. She is close to being there, when she's
almost attacked at a gas station, but she is saved by this mysterious Italian
guy. But then, she crashes her car on a
lonely mountain road. Luckily for her,
her knight in shining armor is going the same way and stops to help her. They have no idea who each other are. He takes her all the way to the MC
compound.
Salvatore was sent to handle business that one of the grunts
should be doing, not someone that is with his standing in the Family. He knows something is fishy about this. But, when he saves Emily, not once, but twice
in the beginning of the book, he changes, she changes him some.
More about the "real" Ma comes out and there is a
traitor in the MC and in the Family. Sal
and Dane need to work together to take care of, and fix this huge mess that's
going on.

I am completely overwhelmed. My core is on fire and I want so much to kiss him, to touch him. I feel sparks of electricity shoot through every fiber in my body and every nerve ending is screaming for release. I want his hands on me, all over me.
“Amare?”
I put my hands on his chest and push him away. He’s too close, making it hard to form a single thought. I take two steps to the side to put some distance between us so I can speak like a human, not a lust induced zombie. “Yes, they towed my car and it’s in their lot. I haven’t really spoken to them about it yet. I kind of fell asleep on them…”
His face clouds over and he says, “You kind of fell asleep on them? What. Does. That. Mean?” He pauses between each word and growls them at me.
“Jonas took me to see Doc Jordan and he gave me something for the pain, but because I hadn’t slept in days it made me sleepy. I think he ended up carrying me to their clubhouse.” I realize how all this must sound. If someone told me that exact same story, I would be thinking the worst.
“Did they touch you, Amare?” he growls at me, his eyes blazing with anger.
“No, no, no! In fact, Jonas put a guard on my door so no one would go near me. Not that they would. I was safe, Sal.” Something crosses his face and he stares at me so intently that I look away and stare at the floor. He moves back into my space and lifts my head up. “Thank you for getting me coffee. Let’s go have breakfast and I’m buying. I think I shall keep you in my sights to make sure nothing else happens to you. I have never met a woman who allows herself to get into so many dangerous situations, in such a short space in time. You, my Amare, are a handful.” He moves away from me and does up his shirt, then grabs his jacket. He opens the door to his room and extends his arm. “Shall we?” he asks, offering me a smile that reveals his dimple. My core clenches again and I have to fight the urge to throw myself at him.

This is a great start to this series. I really enjoyed it and it was a quick read
for me. I like that the book wasn't
centered around the MC. I also liked how
some of the other characters got a chapter from their perspective, including
the stalker.
The reason for the 4 star is that I felt who the stalker
was, was predictable, at least for me. I
knew right away who it was.
Katrina Saunders, or Kat, is a rock star, well, was, until
the accident. Her Ma died after Kat's
accident. Kat moved to her mom's old
house in the mountains to get away from fans and the paparazzi. She keeps to herself, hasn't left her
property in 12 months. She does run
though. And that's how she meets Dane.
Dane Reynolds is the president of the Savage Angels MC. He is also Kat's neighbor, and loved Ma
Saunders. She would make the MC muffins
and every Sunday, she would make them breakfast.
Once Dane meets Kat, things take off for them. I do like both of these characters.
I can't wait for Ma's secrets to come out. I don't think she was what she seemed.
