William Jacobs was chosen—adopted at a young age and thrust into a lifestyle he knew nothing about. Emma Nichols was the girl next door . . . his atlas in the turbulent life he had to navigate.
In their small town, beliefs vary and hatred can take the forefront.
She sees things as they are: right and wrong—black or white. He looks at all abstracts of life trying to find the easiest path.
Their lives are connected in every facet. Family, school, love . . . they don’t know where one begins and the other ends, and it’s just the way they like it. Tragedy, hatred, loss, and distance threaten them, but those things won’t tear them apart.
One night, something unforgivable happens. They find themselves on the same side fighting opposite battles. She can’t erase the pain, and he can’t right his wrongs, but he’ll die trying to avenge the act of violence and make her see the truth.
Welp, this is yet another book by Leigh Ann Lunsford that
had me crying a couple times. So make
sure you have some tissues by you while reading this.
I highly recommend that you read Brise first. Embracing Emma is about their daughter
Emma.
Emma is just like her mom, not that she’s a ballerina,
because she is far from that, but because she ends up running from problems
instead of facing them head on. She does
speak her mind, but doesn’t always think of the consequences or the bigger
picture.
William has grown up with Emma. He is two years older though. Their story is similar to Emma’s parents.
They have always been best friends. But things change, and they know they are in
love with each other.
But of course things aren’t easy. They both have struggles to go through and
deal with.
Nana’s letter had me crying.
I love nana. I love all the
characters in this book. This is such a
great read.
Leigh Ann Lunsford is a stay at home mom turned author. She writes Romance/New Adult and loves her happily ever after in all books and movies. She lives with her husband, son, and four dogs in Fleming Island, Florida. When she isn’t writing or reading you can find her stuck in front of really bad reality shows or watching Sons of Anarchy. Leigh Ann has a filthy mouth and a huge amount of sarcasm that knows no end. She hopes to give the voices in her head an outlet with many more novels to come.
