Charlotte Ferro is
about to jump.
Yet nothing ruins a
perfectly good suicide attempt worse than a handsome do-gooder. After William
O’Reilly convinces her to take one last ride with him, Charlotte finds herself
forgetting about her own problems and enjoying a world of which she never
dreamed.
Now addicted to the
rush of fast cars and cool criminals, Charlotte finds herself leaning less
towards the ledge and more toward the arms of her savior. But with reasons of
his own for keeping Charlotte safe from herself, William is reluctant to
involve her in his criminal undertakings. Will his career choice keep them
apart? Will Charlotte’s painful past?
Sometimes fate has a way of bringing people into our life at the right moment, forever changing the outcome.
Ready to throw it all away, leaving her life behind including this world, Charlotte Ferro has it all planned out, but when William drives upon her, her night and life will be forever changed.
"You're like a phoenix, Jumper. Up out of the ashes to rise again..."- William
The smell of fuel, burning rubber, adrenaline and William gives Charlotte aka Jumper, a reason to live.
"It's complicated. But let's just say I get a rush out of you, Jumper, and I don't want you to go."- William
"Life is too short not to do what makes you happy."- Charlotte
This story will take the readers on a ride. Showing us he inside of someone who is ready to throw it all away, and leave this world behind. A story about second chances, learning to live and letting people in. William will forever change Charlotte for the better. This is a story that I couldn't put down. I had to see where these two ended up. Reading Breakdown took myself back to my teenage years, the glory years. LOL. Sitting in the passengers seat of my now husbands NOSed out Civic, waiting to see who will race who. The fun of running when the cops showed up and all of us scattering like roaches. I understand how Charlotte needs the adrenaline, and how it gives her a reason to wake up. The racing world is such a great backdrop for this story. And it's much deeper than learning about the racing life.
