Review for the Wolfe Brothers series by Serena Pettus

Book 1 To Tame His Mate

Synopsis
Sarah has spent the last six years running from some pretty determined wolves. A born Alpha, and a fierce fighter, she has managed to thwart the best efforts of the neighboring packs in their attempts to force a mating with their current Alphas. She is determined to live her life the way she wants—free—and has fought her way to freedom more times than she should have had to. All she’s ever wanted was the chance to find her one true mate and settle down outside of the hierarchy bullshit of Pack life. If that means she has to do so by staying one step ahead of her pursuers, until she finds that man, then that’s just what she’ll do. The only problem now is that her years of running have forced her to trust no one… until she meets Erik.

Erik is a lone wolf himself, but offers his help when an injury befalls the lovely she-wolf he discovers on his property. Attraction sparks and he soon realizes—much to his own surprise—that she is his destined mate.

Shortly after deciding to give the whole thing a trial run, their mutual attraction overwhelms them, but danger is still stalking her, and Erik is determined to find a way to keep her safe.

Now, can Erik convince Sarah that they belong together and tame her wilder side enough to claim her as his own?

Tonya's Review
5 stars!

What a great read. I could not put it down. I stopped reading and tried to go to sleep, but I had to pick my kindle up and finish reading. I love that Sarah is an Alpha Female and really kicks some butt and takes care of herself. She doesn't need a man, or anyone else to do it for her. She doesn't care if you are an Alpha, she will put you in your place if she needs to.

Erik is an Alpha male that doesn't like the pack life either. A chance meeting when he finds someone camping on his property will change his life.

I had to start reading book 2 right away, after finishing this one. Definitely a series I will enjoy reading.

Book 2  To Protect His Mate

So much for getting back to a normal existence.

Abraham has finally found his mate, but something is wrong and she’s not confiding in him. Not knowing what to do, he turns to his new sister-in-law for help. But when Stephanie finally confides in Abraham, will he be able to give her what she needs and claim her as his own?

The danger following her finally catches up, and in order to keep Stephanie as his own, Abraham must protect his mate, but will he make it in time?

Tonya's Review
5 stars

A great second book in for this series. I am hooked on the Wolfe brothers now. Stephanie, just like Sarah, is a strong, independent female lead that is on the run. She is dealing with a very emotional issue that happened a year ago. She doesn't want to tell Abraham yet, she wants to make sure that he loves her because he hasn't said those 3 little words yet. She has some nasty men after her for putting another doctor in prison. They want her dead. But will she finally open up to Abraham and tell him all that is going on so that he can help protect her from them?

Abraham always looks mad, angry and mean. But he really is just a huge teddy bear. I'm so happy that we got to meet his mom in this story. She really seems to be an amazing woman. Can't wait to start on the next book!

Book 3  To Save His Mate

Synopsis

Lacy Anders is getting burned out in her job with the state police, but when a cold case is reopened, she finds herself tapped for the undercover assignment. Never imagining that she would ever be back in the modeling world, she now finds herself posing as bait in order to catch a serial killer before they strike again.

The only problem? Her new modeling partner is the hottest man she’s ever laid eyes on, and she’s not entirely sure that her eyes will be the only things she lays on him!

Ethan Wolfe’s life is simple … until he meets Lacy. She is his every fantasy come to life, and soon he finds himself battling his inner wolf for control whenever she is near.

The little firecracker soon turns his world upside down, when she brings him on board with her investigation. Now, with models falling victim to strange “accidents”, the two must put their relationship to the side in order to catch the culprit.

But when the killer finally comes out, will Ethan be in time to save his mate?

Tonya's Review
5 Stars

This is such a great series. None of the female leads are the damsel in distress type. Each one, can kick some butt. Lacy is no different. She is a cop, and is undercover trying to find a murderer that targets models. The job takes her to Hasting and that's when the adventure begins.

Ethan is a fireman and forest ranger. He is in charge of making sure that the models, photographer (and everyone else with them) don't mess anything up while shooting in the woods. He has been hounded by the photographer to model for the shoot. He is annoyed by it and refuses, until he sees Lacy. Then he jumps at the chance.

They need to catch this murderer though. I loved how Lacy was putting her job first (well, trying to at least. I couldn't put this book down and have already started the next one.

Book 4  To Claim His Mate

Synopsis
After watching all of his brothers find and wed their mates, Adam Wolfe is starting to wonder if there’s a woman out there for him as well. Deciding to ditch the latest wedding festivities, he heads to the store intending to buy a little liquor and indulge in a pity party at home. Of course, that was before he saw her. The woman in the aisle with him was absolutely gorgeous, and smelled like heaven.

And his wolf was eager to gobble her up. Could it really be her? Had he really just stumbled upon his mate?

Evangeline Black lives a rather sad life nowadays. Due to the efforts of her abusive ex-fiancé, she has basically become a hermit, but that all changes when an impossibly sexy man comes to her aid.

Now, homeless and in hiding, she discovers that not all men are the same. No, some of them are caring and considerate … and have a very closely guarded secret of the furry kind.

When danger catches up to Eva, she must now rely on her newfound friends to rescue her before it’s too late, but what happens when nobody knows where you are?

Tonya's Review
5 stars

Yet another great book in the Wolfe Brothers series. This is Adam's story. He is the youngest of the brothers. He is starting to worry that he will never find his mate and have what his brothers do. While at his brothers wedding, he decides he needs a drink, so leaves to run to the store. That's where he runs into Evalangline, Eva. He catches her scent and it's on from that point on.

Eva has had a rough time lately. Leaving an abusive fiance that only wanted her for her money and refused to sign a prenup for her. He has been abusive. He finds her at the store, luckily Adam comes to her rescue. Even though she needs Adam's help and his protection from Shane, she is still a strong female lead. She does almost break completely, but she has been through hell.

I love how this story worked out for the two of them and can't wait to start on Cub Club.

Book 5  The Cub Club

Synopsis
Come join the Wolfe brothers as two of their own experience the “joys” of childbirth through their unique bond with the women they love.

Eva is all set to bring Adam’s daughter into the world and all of the women come together for support. After all, with the labor being felt through the bond, Adam is left a bit … out of sorts.

Sarah is sporting a ginormous belly with her twins, and Erik is a bit worried about her impending delivery since they all know that she cannot have any kind of pain medicine. But what’s more is that a werewolf’s labor is vastly different from a human birth.

With the sudden onset of labor combined with sleet and snow, will Stephanie be able to get to their home in time to help with the delivery? And when an unforeseen complication arises, will they be strong enough to weather the storm?

Tonya's Review
5 stars

What a great short read about Eva and Sarah giving birth to the Wolfe cubs. I really loved how both Erik and Adam, could feel EVERYTHING their mates felt during the labor. If only this happened in real life. Luckily Eva could have meds and was at a hospital for the birth of little Adalynn. Sarah, on the other hand, couldn't have any drugs, since she is a werewolf also. She wasn't even at the hospital for the birth of the twins, Piper and Peyton. And Piper's eyes, WOW. And the whole part with Adam being a sled dog, was great, I was laughing! I love reading about the Wolfe Brothers and their mates, I hope there will be another novella when Stephanie and Lacy have some cubs.

Review of The Prince's Ex by Nadene Seiters

22041506

Synopsis:
Amelia Radley thought she had it all when she met a man in a bar and he ended up being royalty. Their love affair was anything but boring, and yet he dumped her almost exactly a year after asking her out to their first dinner date. While the wound was deep and fresh thirty days after their separation, she picked up the morning paper only to see that the man she thought she loved had already become engaged to another woman.

Her best friend, Tina, suggests the only thing she knows would make her feel better. Amelia should start dating any man she meets that she likes so that she can get over her ex. The idea is ludicrous, and yet Amelia agrees to a date with a man she has never met before. All the while, she considers herself nothing more than the prince’s ex, a woman who could not hold the affections of every woman’s dream.

When she finds love in an unexpected place, it’s challenged by the past and the future looks rocky. Amelia’s insecurities might get in the way of her finding true love, in more ways than one.

Tonya's Review:
I have been going back in forth on the rating of this book. I will give it a 3.5 star. It was an enjoyable read. I do feel like there was something missing from it, I just can't exactly put my finger on it though. I would have loved to have more details on some things in the book. There were some grammar mistakes, and the wrong name being used (Tina instead of Amelia). It does have a lot of potential and with some polishing it could be a strong 4/5 star book.

Hmm what to say about Amelia. Well, at first I actually found her kind of shallow. I know she dated a Prince and is an accountant, but she did talk about money a lot. Especially when she was thinking over the differences between the Simon, Clint and Peter. I think she did redeem herself and did a lot of growing up by the end of the book. There was one scene that made me want to slap her though and made her look even more immature. Peter was only 17 minutes late and she was so mad at first about it. It's only 17 minutes.

We don't really know a lot about Simon, other than he is a Prince and Amelia's ex boyfriend.

I really like Peter, right from the beginning though. He's the sexy barista where Tina and Amelia go for coffee.

I found Tina really funny, and actually liked her more than Amelia.

Saving Amy Teaser 1
WRRT Banner Excerpt
The pain is slowly slipping away with each shot I take. The numbness is filling the space. I don’t know the boys who are buying me all these drinks, but I couldn’t care less. After I stopped puking this morning from last night’s drinking, I decided that instead of sitting around and letting the pain back in, why not come in earlier today. I don’t know why I haven’t been doing this all along. Jessica is pissed, my parents are pissed, why can’t anyone understand why I am doing this? The numb feels so much better than the pain. The pain is so debilitating. The numb is just that. I feel hollow. I need to feel this way to get through this. Don’t they understand that? I am so tired of trying to explain myself to everyone.

Bound To You: Volume 1

This book was a great read. I felt so bad for Rebecca, with what happened at the beginning and I understand why she wanted to get away from L.A.. I don't blame her, I would want to do the same exact thing. Who would have thought that a chance encounter on the plane from L.A. to New York could, possibly, ruin everything, well, at least change her plans.

The last two chapters had me cracking up. I love what she did to Nicholas in the elevator. I do feel for him because of his father, but he's still a playboy.

Can't wait to read the next book! I'm so glad that I was asked to review this book.
